LCA Students Score Highest in State in the National Economics Challenge
Each year, the National Economics Challenge, sponsored by the Council for Economic Education, tests high school AP Economics students from around the country on their knowledge of microeconomics, macroeconomics and the world economy. In the first round, students from each state take an online test, and the school whose top four students have the highest combined score are named state champions. This year, LCA’s top four students, Kaila Cusick, Andrew Claxton, Noah Davis and Ben Navis, had the highest combined score in Kentucky and were crowned the champions of our state! A huge congrats to these students and their teacher, Mr. Aaron Merz!
They will now take another online exam in which they will compete against the other state champions from around the country. The top four schools will then go to New York City in June to compete for the national championship, with the opportunity to win cash prizes and scholarships.
