LCA Athletics Holds Signing Ceremony for Student-Athletes
On Friday, April 30, 2021 LCA Athletics held a signing ceremony to celebrate the nine student-athletes who have signed so far to play collegiate athletics next year. Family members were able to attend in-person, and the event was live-streamed into the classrooms for students and teachers. Read More Here
LCA Alum, Devin Buckner, Named Player of the Week for the Big South Conference
Congratulations to University of South Carolina Upstate baseball player and LCA alum, Devin Buckner (Class of 2017) on being named the Player of the Week for the Big South Conference! The designated hitter batted .750 and helped the Spartans to a 4-0 record on the week.
Students Volunteer with Christian Appalachian Project to Help Flood Victims
LCA high school students in the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy recently held a clothing drive for those residents in eastern Kentucky who were affected by the devastating flooding. The students along with LCA parent and staff chaperones also spent a Saturday in Rockcastle County volunteering with Christian Appalachian Project to help restore flood damaged homes. Read More Here

Lexington Christian Academy is proud to announce that five juniors have been selected to attend the Governor’s Scholars Program, and two have been selected to attend the Governor’s School for the Arts this summer. Congratulations to the following:

Three Teachers Recognized with Extra Mile Award
Established in 2018, the LCA Teacher Endowment Fund was created to support teachers and educators who commit their time, energy, and abilities to provide exceptional Christian educational experiences for our students. Congratulations to this year's recipients: Danielle Smith (Preschool/Elementary); Patti Smith (6th Grade Academy/Junior High); and Robyn Iler (High School).
LCA Softball and Baseball Teams Win All "A" Region Championships
Congratulations to the LCA Softball and Baseball Teams on winning their respective All "A" Region Tournaments!
The LCA Softball Team defeated Frankfort on Monday night, April 12, to win the championship - their fifth in a row! They will now go on to the Kentucky All "A" State Softball Classic in Owensboro, which will be held April 24 & 25.
The LCA Baseball Team defeated Frankfort on Saturday, April 10, and then defeated Danville on Friday, April 16 in a sectional game. That win earned them a trip to the Kentucky All "A" State Baseball Classic in Owensboro, which will also be held April 24 & 25.

National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony Held

LCA Alum Published in Scientific Journal
Mary (Dowdy) Beckerson (Class of 2010) has been published as a contributor in the scientific journal, Clinical Infectious Disease. The article, Trends in Prescribing of Antibiotics and Drugs Investigated for COVID-19 Treatment in U.S. Nursing Home Residents During the COVID-19 Pandemic appeared in the March 2021 issue.
Mary has been working for PharMerica for nearly three years and is responsible for data analysis, specifically with their associated long-term care facility customers. When Covid-19 hit, she was asked to provide data for a CDC study on the use of antibiotics and other drugs and how those uses changed because of the virus.
