Athletics

We strive to show excellence in everything, as God calls us to do in Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." And so it is with LCA Athletics. Our staff and coaches work very hard every day to create the best possible atmosphere for our student-athletes. Our plan for success includes three elements.

Spirituality – We will never waiver in our faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. Our desire is to honor and glorify His name and keep Him first in everything we do.

Coaches – We will find the best possible coaches in their sport and in their walk with Christ. We will give them the tools and support they need to succeed.

Facilities – We will strive to have the best athletic facilities in the state of Kentucky.

History and Tradition

Lexington Christian Academy has a storied past that has been truly blessed by God. Over the years LCA has been blessed by the amount of students that have been able to participate in athletics and display their God given talents to the surrounding community. We are also proud to recognize those LCA Alumni who have played college athletics after their time at LCA. We are thankful for all the beauty found in our storied past, and we look forward to our bright future as we strive to glorify God in all we do!

Additional Honors

1 UCA Cheerleading National Championship (2019)

4 Junior High State Championships

5 Mr./Miss Kentucky Sports Winners

4 National Christian Schools Athletic Association Players of the Year

1 Gatorade Kentucky Football Player of the Year

What makes LCA Athletics different?

We have a proud heritage of faith and success, but success is not solely defined by earthly trophies. Athletic success at LCA is mostly determined by the character-building investment our coaches, administrators and staff, put into our student-athletes. We have won KHSAA state titles, All "A" championships and had several student-athletes earn statewide athletic honors. As great as these achievements are, they are nothing if we have not put God first and led our student athletes in their walk with Christ. Our plan is to build on those successes, giving all glory and honor to God.
