Background Checks for Lunch Volunteers and Field Trip Chaperones

In order to be a lunch volunteer or chaperone any field trip at LCA, you must complete the Validity Screening process. If you are planning to chaperone an overnight trip, there is a second step outlined below to complete a required Biometric/fingerprint background check. Information for both the Validity Screening and Biometric/fingerprint background check is below:

ALL LUNCH VOLUNTEERS & DAY TRIP CHAPERONES ON ALL CAMPUSES -  Complete the online Validity Screening process

  • A small fee is required.
  • Results are returned to the parent and the school in 5-7 business days and are valid for 3 years.
  • Please call Validity's customer service if you encounter any difficulties  at 913-332-5999.
     

OVERNIGHT CHAPERONES, OVERNIGHT TRIPS, ALL CAMPUSES - Complete a required Biometric/fingerprint background check
 

  • Contact Jenny Newman at jnewman@lexingtonchristian.org to schedule a background check appointment with IdentiGo to have your fingerprints taken once you are an approved chaperone
  • Once the IdentiGO background check is arranged through LCA, HR will receive the background check results. This fee will be passed on to the parent.
  • Allow time for results to be returned within 1-2 weeks
  • Results are good for 3 years

Are you a new LCA family for the 2022-23 school year? If so, be sure to check out our 2022-23 New Family Guide. This is also a great resource for our returning families too. (Please note the guide will be updated as needed as we get closer to the first day of school.)


  • Immunization Record: All LCA students must have a current Kentucky immunization Certificate on file with their campus offices by the first day of school August 10, 2022.
  • Kentucky Physical Examination Record: All NEW students plus all 6th grade students must have a current Kentucky Physical Exam record on file by the first day of school.
  • Kentucky Eye Examination: All preschool - 1st grade students must submit a Kentucky Eye Exam by January 1, 2023.
  • Kentucky Dental Examination: All preschool - 1st grade students must submit a Kentucky Dental Exam by January 1, 2023 (completed by a licensed dentist or dental hygienist)

We are happy to announce that we will sell prepackaged school supplies for the 2022-23 school year through School Tool Box for students in preschool - 8th grade.

Lunch and adding funds to an eagle account

 

Lunches are ordered via the FACTS Family portal or the LCA app. They can be ordered daily or for an entire week at a time.

All lunch orders must be entered by 8:30 a.m. Any order placed after 8:30 a.m. will receive a brown bag "emergency" lunch.

If you order a lunch and your student will be absent that day, you must call the office by 8:30 a.m. to cancel your order. Orders cannot be canceled after 8:30 a.m., and you will be charged for that day's order.

Lunch orders will be invoiced a week at a time on Friday for that week's orders. Once you receive the invoice, the charges will deduct from the account attached to your Incidentals Account in FACTS in 10 days. You can log into FACTS Family and pay the invoice with an alternative method of payment.

Preschool
Please see the preschool map here. Please note that preschool students with older siblings will follow preschool carline guidelines.

The 2022-23 Preschool and Elementary Student/Parent Handbooks will be posted here when available. 

 

The preschool milk order form will be available here prior to the beginning of the school year.

Extended care is designed to provide preschool - fifth grade students with a safe and enriching atmosphere when they are not attending class.  Before care is 7:15 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. After care is 3:25 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Activities include enrichment, homework help, outside play, and an afternoon snack. Information for 2022-23 will be posted here as soon as it's available. For more information, contact Megan Filburn, Director of Elementary Student Services at mfilburn@lexingtonchristian.org.

Our program was designed to make your fund-raising the easiest in twon...all you have to do is shop at Kroger and swipe your Plus Card! 

Enroll now for the Kroger Community Rewards Program. All participants must re-enroll each year to continue earning rewards for their chosen organization. August is a great time to re-enroll or enroll in this program.

If you have already registered your Kroger Plus Card Account

  • Go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com
  • Go to “Kroger Community Rewards: already have an account…click here"
  • Find Your Organization - enter
  • Select Your Organization - select Lexington Christian Academy
  • Save Your Selection -  click save

To verify you are enrolled correctly, under Account Settings, click Account Summary & verify that Lexington Christian Academy is designated as the Community Rewards recipient.

If you do not have a Kroger Plus card, they are available at any Kroger customer service desk.

If you have NOT already registered your Kroger Plus Card Account

  • Go to www.kroger.com and click on top right corner “Create an Account”
  • Enter your email address and create a password, confirm
  • Add your Kroger Plus Card account number (found on the back of the card)
  • Select Your Preferred Store: Enter your preferred store zip code and select “Find store." Select store location, click “Save & Continue”
  • Click Create Account
  • Continue with Community Rewards instructions above AFTER you receive a confirmation message to your email account

That’s it! Whenever you shop, simply swipe your Kroger Plus card for great savings and an easy added benefit to LCA! Your designated charity will be listed at the bottom of every shopping receipt.


Bluegrass Hospitality Group

Bluegrass Hospitality Group has expanded their generosity to a year round fundraiser known as GiveBHG Year Round.  The program is simple!  Simply go to GiveBHG.com and purchase gift cards in any amount.  LCA receives a 20% reward!  Gift cards must be purchased online and not in the restaurants in order for LCA to receive the reward.  Remember…BHG gift cards make great gifts!

General Mills created the “Box Tops” program to help support education and benefit America’s schools. Here is how the “Box Tops” program works:

General Information

The purpose of Parents in Prayer is to encourage and facilitate prayers of parents and grandparents of LCA students for the entire LCA community. Information about Parents in Prayer for the 2022-23 school year will be updated here when available.

Computer Systems

FACTS SIS (formally named RenWeb) is LCA's school information system. It is the home for all demographic and academic records. FACTS Family Portal (formally named Parents Web), is the parent and student portal for access to information within FACTS SIS. From FACTS Family Portal you are able to see grades, contact information and financial information. FACTS SIS is used by families, teachers and students.

Canvas is a learning management system. Grades 6-12 use this platform for as a classroom resources to provide pertinent information for students.  Canvas is primarily used by teachers and students.

Each parent, student and staff member has a unique set of credentials in the FACTS SIS that drives logging into the RenWeb App on mobile devices or the FACTS Family Portal on a computer. Please email Julie Guilliams at jguilliams@lexingtonchristian.org if you cannot remember your username or password.
