Students in Mrs. Alyse Treesh's junior high and high school French classes recently participated in the French contest, Le Grand Concours. This is an annual competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French, where the students take a written test and compete against students with similar educational backgrounds for prizes.

Hadley Whipple, LCA junior, received the Silver Award, which is awarded to those who score in the 90th percentile. She placed 4th in the AATF Kentucky Chapter and will receive a $25 Amazon gift card from AATF-KY and a silver medal from AATF national.

Juniors Sophie Antle and Hayden Burt, sophomore Reagan Wombles, and 8th graders Katie Roth and Sophia Smith received an mentionne d'honneur (honorable mention) for scoring in the 50th-70th percentile. They will each receive a $10 Amazon gift card from AATF-KY and a certificate from AATF National.

Congratulations to these students on a job well done!
