2024-25 Parent Teacher Fellowship committees
We are excited and look forward to the 2024-2025 school year. As we prepare for the new year, we would like to invite you to join our Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF). The goals of the PTF include encouraging every parent to get involved, supporting the teachers and staff, and building community and school spirit. To accomplish these goals, the PTF promotes opportunities for families to serve and volunteer, host appreciation events and activities to LCA’s teachers and staff, provide encouragement and support to LCA’s employees and families, and hosts campus or school-wide events and activities to provide fellowship, celebration, and fun for our families.
For the 2024-2025 school year, we are seeking parents to self-nominate to serve either as a chairperson or committee member. The volunteer opportunities include:
Social Committee - The chair and his/her committee will coordinate with the campus principal and assistant principal to plan PS-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, or 9th-12th grade events, identify volunteer needs (e.g. set-up and clean-up,) communicate the needs, solicit sign-ups, and then facilitate the events. The special events for the 2024-25 school year include:
- PS-5th Grades: Trunk or Treat, Grandparents Day, Book Fair, and Field Day.
- 6th-8th Grades: Winter Social, 8th Grade Picnic, and the 8th Grade Day of Blessing
- 9th-12th Grades: Homecoming Week
Teacher Appreciation Committee - The chair and his/her committee will help organize and coordinate appreciation events for the campus’ teachers & staff. The chair will coordinate with the campus principal and assistant principal to plan the events, identify volunteer needs, communicate the needs, solicit sign-ups, and then facilitate the events. The teacher appreciation events for the 2024-25 school year include
- Monthly Luncheons
- Birthday Celebrations (one/semester)
- Spring Teacher Appreciation Week
Development Committee - The chair and his/her committee will help the Director of Development prepare for the Eagle Gala. This will include organizing grade-level baskets and art projects as well as encouraging attendance for this annual event.
Grade Level Co-Chair - The co-chairs will work closely with the campus chairs to facilitate the activities for the campus.
Family Ambassador Committee - The chair and his/her committee will work closely with the Admissions Office to welcome prospective and new families to the LCA community. Activities will include attending preview dates, new family receptions, and grade-level gatherings.
