Lexington Christian Academy Welcomes Cameron Garner as New Assistant Athletics Director

Lexington Christian Academy is pleased to announce the hiring of Cameron "Cam" Garner as the school's new Assistant Athletics Director. Garner brings a strong athletics background and a deep commitment to both athletics and Christian values.

“We are excited to have Cam join our team,” said Kirby Willoughby, Director of Athletics. “His dedication and passion for sports, combined with his strong Christian faith, make him a perfect fit for LCA.”

Garner holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and a Master's Degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from the University of Kentucky. During his time at the university, he served as a student equipment manager for the UK football team from 2016 to 2020. His exceptional work ethic earned him the RoadCats Scholastic Scholarship while he balanced his responsibilities as a full-time student and manager. For the past four years, Garner has been a graduate assistant football coach at the University of Kentucky, further honing his skills and expertise in athletics.

"God blessed me and my family with the opportunity to stay involved in sports while also planting our roots in a Christian community," Garner said. "LCA will allow me to give back to a community that gave me so much growing up here in Lexington. It also provides a wonderful opportunity for my son and any future children to be raised in a Christian school with Christ at the center of it all."

A native of Lexington, Garner is married to his wife, Abbey, and they have a four-month-old son, Bowen. The family attends Southland Christian Church.
