LCA Welcomes Two New Members to its Board of Directors
Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of two distinguished individuals, Lee Howard and David Samford, to its Board of Directors. Both men bring a wealth of professional experience, a passion for Christian education, and a strong commitment to the LCA community.
Lee Howard, a 2005 graduate of LCA, serves as Chief Operating Officer of H&W Management, Inc., with over 15 years of experience in hotel and hospitality management. Born and raised in Lexington, Howard and his wife, Naresha, have been married for 15 years and have two children, Henry (4th grade) and Caroline (2nd grade), attending LCA.
Howard credits LCA with shaping his spiritual walk and remains committed to serving his church and community.
David Samford serves as General Counsel for East Kentucky Power Cooperative, Inc., a $4 billion non-profit electric utility that serves over 1.1 million Kentuckians. With a career spanning law, government service, and corporate leadership, Samford’s diverse background includes advising utilities, testifying before the General Assembly, and serving as a Special Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court. He has also held numerous appointments under four Kentucky governors.
Samford is actively engaged in the LCA community, currently in his twelfth year leading the school’s Parents in Prayer team and serving on both the Finance and Athletics Committees. He is married to Cheri Samford, and they have two children, Lillian (LCA ‘23) and Harrison (LCA Junior). The Samford family attends Southland Christian Church, where David leads an adult Bible class.
LCA is excited to welcome both Howard and Samford to the Board of Directors and looks forward to their leadership in advancing the Academy’s mission of providing a Christ-centered education that equips students for a life of leadership and service.
