LCA Announces Mark Burroughs as New 6th-8th Grade Asst. Principal
Lexington, Kentucky (February 14, 2025) - Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mark Burroughs as the new 6th-8th Grade Assistant Principal.
Mr. Burroughs has been a dedicated educator at LCA for more than 17 years, most recently serving as the 7th-grade geography teacher. In addition to his role in the classroom, he has also contributed to LCA’s athletic programs as a middle school and high school soccer coach.
A deep commitment to education and faith runs in Mr. Burroughs’ family. His wife, Kathy, is a preschool teacher at LCA, and their three children—Morgan (Hubbard) Scott (Class of 2018), Lindsey Hubbard (Class of 2020), and Erik Burroughs (Class of 2021)—are all proud LCA alumni. His passion for learning was also shaped by his parents, both lifelong educators who reside in Lexington, along with his in-laws.
Reflecting on his new role, Mr. Burroughs shared, "It is an honor to serve the LCA community. Partnering with families in the spiritual, academic, and emotional development of students—helping equip and nurture them to fulfill God’s calling on their lives through Christ-centered education—is both a privilege and a humbling responsibility."
Although Mr. Burroughs is already a well-known member of the LCA community, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating his transition into this leadership role.
