LCA Announces Leadership Changes at Immanuel Baptist Church Campus

Lexington, Kentucky (April 4, 2025) - Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) is announcing upcoming leadership transitions at the Immanuel Baptist Church Campus, reflecting the school’s ongoing commitment to excellence in educational and spiritual development.

Mrs. Emily Lavender Hawk, who has served as Assistant Elementary Principal since the 2022-23 school year, will be stepping down as of April 25, 2025. An LCA alumna (‘11), Mrs. Hawk has been a dedicated leader with a deep passion for education, service, and ministry. Her commitment to fostering a strong school community has been evident through her leadership and service initiatives, inspiring students to grow in both faith and character.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Hawk for her unwavering commitment and leadership as LCA Assistant Elementary Principal over the past three years. Her servant’s heart and steadfast belief in the mission of LCA have made a lasting impact on our students, families, and staff. As she embarks on her next chapter, we know that her passion for education and ministry will continue to bless others. We wish her all the best as she follows God’s calling in her new endeavors.

In response to this transition, LCA is pleased to introduce a new leadership structure designed to better serve students and families. Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, LCA will have two elementary assistant principals dedicated to supporting students, families, and teachers:

  • Mrs. Ashley Ford will serve as Assistant Principal for TK-2nd Grades.
  • Mrs. Angie Taylor will serve as Assistant Principal for 3rd-5th Grades.

Over the past five years, LCA has experienced significant growth, adding nine new homeroom sections, expanding intervention and enrichment programming, and enhancing the Ignite After School Program with additional clubs, activities, and extended care options. With continued student growth anticipated, this new structure will allow us to provide more focused leadership and support for our school community.
