LCA Alum Alyssa Albornoz ('22) Returns from 2024 Paris Olympics Experience

LCA alum Alyssa Albornoz ('22), currently a communications student at Asbury University, has recently returned from an unforgettable experience at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Alyssa was one of over 100 students from the Asbury University Communications Department who had the unique opportunity to work at the prestigious global event. While there, she was tasked with assisting a camera operator at the golf venue.

Reflecting on her journey, Alyssa shared, “It's so funny how God works. When I toured Asbury, I saw the posters for the Paris 2024 semester and told my parents that due to other commitments, I couldn’t be part of that opportunity. Funny enough, I did end up in Paris in 2024—and for the Olympics! That experience showed me that God's plan for my life is better than anything I could plan or imagine. It was truly an incredible experience. Everything from traveling across the world by myself for the first time to getting the chance to work with some of the best in the industry, not to mention being six feet away from some of my favorite golfers, it was a summer I'll never forget!”

Looking ahead, Alyssa is excited to pursue a career in sports communications, with a focus on digital storytelling and content creation. She hopes to continue her Olympic journey by working at the Milan 2026 Winter Olympics.
