LCA Community - The Ebel Family

Mandy and Brian Ebel have two children who attend LCA, Sarah Margaret, who will be a 7th grader and Luke, who will be a 5th grader. When they relocated to Lexington and were researching school options, they knew they needed to find a good fit for their children. The LCA 6th Grade Academy immediately stood out to them, and they were excited that both of their children would have the opportunity to go through the academy.

What do you love most about LCA? Individualized attention, focus on Christian values, and small class size.

Why did your family select LCA? Our family relocated to the Lexington community in 2019, and when we were researching our school options, we knew that we needed to find a good fit for both of our children. LCA's 6th Grade Academy immediately stood out to us with the focus on STEM and the self-contained atmosphere. We were excited that both of our children would have the opportunity to go through the academy. Sixth grade is a pivotal time in a young person's life, and we recognized that the transition from elementary to middle school could be eased through this year of preparation.

Why do you believe LCA is worth the educational investment? We believe that LCA is worth the investment because our kids have blossomed!

In what ways have you seen your children grow in their faith as a result of their experience at LCA? One of the 6th Grade Academy requirements is a systematic theology class which allows the children to discover why they believe what they believe. Our daughter was able to take her faith as her own and articulate her belief in Christ.

What is the one word your family would use to describe the LCA experience? Nurtured.

What is your favorite LCA memory? The elementary Christmas concert was precious and was a highlight to the Advent season.

What would you tell other parents who are considering enrolling their child(ren) at LCA?  Without a doubt, LCA was the easiest decision that we made when we moved to Lexington. Our kids were grown and stretched in the best way, and we are thankful!
