LCA Teacher Spotlight - David Redish

A special thank you to the LCA High School Office for providing this teacher spotlight.

Mr. David Redish is a long-time LCA veteran and currently serves our school as the sophomore Bible teacher. He has been an educator for 30 years, with 26 of those being at LCA. He grew up in Miami, Florida and graduated from Asbury in Wilmore, Kentucky.  He loves to spend his free time with his wife, Sandra. And while they make their home in Kentucky, he said if they could live anywhere else in the world it would be Charleston, South Carolina.

Mr. Redish recommends every student read, The Master’s Plan of Evangelism by Dr. Robert Coleman.  He was called to teach at 19 and indicated marine biology would be his backup vocational choice. His role model is Graham Cooke, and he would like Tom Hanks to play him in a movie.  While he may seem mild-mannered in the classroom, he does get annoyed by bad drivers.

What he enjoys most about working at LCA is the atmosphere of love, freedom, and faith that encourages all of us to be and share our best daily. His students have taught him that it takes several communication styles to get what you are trying to share to those you are trying to reach.  He wants his students to learn from him that God is greater than, loves us more, and is more worthy of all of their life than they can imagine. For any student struggling with all the changes this school year, Mr. Redish said to trust in the Lord and ask Him to show you who He is for you in such a time as this.
