LCA Teacher Spotlight - Arianne Johnson

Mrs. Johnson with her family at
Disney World.

Mrs. Arianne Johnson has been at LCA for 19 years and currently teaches 2nd-5th grade music and directs the elementary chorus.  She is married to Tyler, an LCA alum, and they have two children who attend LCA. Emme is a sophomore and Riley is a fifth grader. When not teaching, Arianne loves sewing and being creative and playing the piano.

Why do you love LCA? LCA is my family. I love the people I work with and the children I get to teach. I love that I can gather and pray with my students whenever we want to. I love that we as a staff gather to grow in scripture and community. I am lucky enough to teach with some of my best friends.

Why do you choose to work at LCA? I love the smaller class sizes and getting to know families on a personal level.

What do students get at LCA that they won't get somewhere else? Students get God-centered subjects. His word is woven into everything the students do every day. It could be music, language arts or science.

What sets LCA students apart from other students? They have a genuine love for each other. They know you care, and they care about you just as much.

How does LCA prepare students for success in college and beyond? They have high expectations for the students bringing them to their fullest potential. They don’t just let them get by, but they challenge them to strive higher and higher.

How is faith and learning integrated at LCA? Bible is the basis of all subject areas. God's word directs what we teach every day.

What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students? I get the privilege of using all my different musical talents every day. I might use the piano in one class and the ukulele in the next one. It’s always fun to mix it up.
