Alumni Spotlight - Alison Brown

Alison Brown (’14) lives in Houston, Texas and is the High School Girls Associate at the north campus of Second Baptist Church. The heart of her job is to disciple teen girls and help them take their next step in following Jesus. Alison previously served as the Girls Ministry Associate at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington.

LCA is where: My relationship with God started and flourished! I surrendered my life to Christ in my 4th grade class, and it continued to grow throughout my years at LCA.

What did you love most about your time at LCA? The relationships! I had some incredible teachers (shout-out to Mr. Wesley and Mrs. Davis) who invested in me beyond the subjects they were teaching.

Tell us about one of your favorite memories at LCA:  Some of my most fond memories at LCA were the chorus trips we took every spring. Singing at Carnegie Hall in NYC my senior year is a core memory.

Why do you believe it was important for you to attend LCA? When I share my story with my students, I always tell them a display of God’s faithfulness and kindness in my life is the fact He had me at LCA. I’m so grateful God laid a foundation for my faith through LCA that led me to where I am today!
