Two LCA Students Named as GSA Finalists

Congratulations to sophomore, Emma Clare Doepke (Visual Art) and junior, Natalie Holmes (Vocal Music and Musical Theatre) on advancing to the second and final round of the selection process for the Governor's School for the Arts. The final round of auditions and reviews will be held March 18 and 19, 2022. If selected, each student will join more than 200 of Kentucky's finest young artists through three weeks of incredibly intense (and incredibly fun) arts instruction. For three solid weeks, the students live, breathe, eat and sleep the arts. It’s a thrilling, often life-changing experience, as they make new friends, explore their creativity, and discover new things about who they are and who they can be in the future.

GSA auditions and reviews the Commonwealth’s most promising high school sophomores and juniors in nine different arts disciplines: Architecture + Design, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Film + Photography, Instrumental Music, Musical Theatre, Visual Art and Vocal Music.

GSA is an arts education program of The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. GSA is offered at no cost to the student, and is made available through funding from the state, as well as private fundraising. For more information, visit the GSA website here

Lexington Christian Academy would like to commend both of these talented students for their achievement. We wish them much success for the final round of selection and in the future!
