LCA Athletics Hall of Fame Induction - Maddie Boone Valentine

Congratulations to Maddie Boone Valentine, who was honored as the 2023 LCA Athletics Hall of Fame inductee on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. 


Maddie is a 2011 graduate of LCA, where she was a four-year starter in girls soccer from 2007-10. During her time at LCA , she competed in 83 games. She is the second all-time leading scorer in LCA history, scoring 72 goals, and first all-time leading assist leader in school history with 54 assists. Maddie was voted all-district two times. She made the all-city first team in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 and was a member of the 2010 all-region team. She was selected for the All “A” State Tournament team for three seasons. In 2009 and 2011, she was voted the National Christian School Athletic Association Player of the Year. She earned honorable mention all-state in 2007 and first team all-state honors in 2008, 2009, and 2010.

Maddie continued her playing career at Liberty University from 2011-2014. As a four-year starter, she played in 80 games, making her second all-time in program history for games played. In 2011, during her freshman season, she made the conference all freshmen team. In 2013, Maddie earned second team all-conference as well as all-conference academic team. She was a member of the first team all-conference in 2014. Maddie was a captain her senior year and led her team to first place in the Big South Conference. Her impact reached beyond the soccer field, when she traveled with Liberty Soccer to Brazil on a mission trip in 2014.
