Alumni Spotlight - Brianna Clement and Sam Arnold

Brianna (Arnold) Clement and her brother, Sam Arnold, were lifers at LCA. Brianna graduated from LCA in 2013 and Sam followed two years later. Both attended the University of Kentucky and have gone on to pursue careers in the military.  Brianna is currently an Air Force HC-130J pilot at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia. Sam is a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and will be moving to Fort Benning, Georgia in January. Brian Ray recently spent some time talking to both of them along with their parents and Brianna's husband. Find out more about this military family by watching their interview here.

When thinking about your time at LCA, finish this sentence, "This is where...": I built a strong foundation for my faith and learned what it looked like to live out my faith in everyday life. (Brianna)

I learned about how to go through life as a believer and where I found my best friends whom I still see today. (Sam)

What did you love most about your time at LCA? I enjoyed my time on the soccer team and in the weight room the most. (Brianna)

The faculty and people. (Sam)

From your own experiences, why do you believe it was important for you to attend LCA? There were so many critical role models that were placed in my life during high school, who have affected my life beyond high school. (Brianna)

In what ways did LCA prepare you for college and beyond? I took almost all the AP courses that were offered, and looking back, high school was harder than college in many ways. I learned how to study, how to write papers, balance homework and extracurricular activities, etc. I felt extremely prepared for college after graduating from LCA. (Brianna)

Not only academically, but spiritually as well. (Sam)
