Alumni Spotlight - Amanda Gault
Amanda Gault attended LCA for 13 years and graduated in 2019. She then studied at the University of the Cumberlands where she received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts, and most recently, her MBA. Amanda currently serves as the Young Alumni and Volunteer Engagement Coordinator at University of the Cumberlands.
This is where: LCA is where I was able to embrace and develop my role as a servant leader. This foundation provided me with a multitude of opportunities throughout college and has been instrumental in my growth, both personally and professionally.
What did you love most about your time at LCA? I am deeply grateful to LCA for instilling in me a profound passion for serving others. This foundation has been invaluable as it has allowed me to pursue a career at the University of the Cumberlands where I can actively contribute to the community in meaningful ways. Beyond my professional life, the values I learned at LCA also guide me personally, enabling me to seek opportunities to make a positive impact on the lives of those around me.
Tell us one of your favorite memories at LCA: One of my favorite memories from my time at LCA was traveling throughout Europe with the chamber choir. The experience of performing in beautiful, historic venues and immersing myself in different cultures was unforgettable. Additionally, participating in Dance Blue every year was incredibly meaningful to me. Being part of such a powerful event, dedicated to supporting pediatric cancer research, not only strengthened my sense of community but also deepened my commitment to serving others.
Why do you believe it was important for you to attend LCA? Attending LCA was important to me because it instilled a true appreciation for higher education. I feel that LCA’s rigorous academics and supportive environment left me well-prepared for both college and graduate school.
How did LCA prepare you for college and beyond? LCA provided me with a strong foundation for my walk with Christ, which was crucial as I navigated my college years. The spiritual guidance and values I gained at LCA helped me stay grounded in my faith during this important time in my life.
