Mason King - 2026 Christianos Distinguished Alumni Award Winner

The Christianos Distinguished Alumni Award honors an outstanding alumnus of LCA for a life that typifies a commitment to Christ in every area of their lives and someone who has contributed to their church, their community, or their profession. The award is named “Christianos” which, in Greek, means, “follower of Christ.” This 2026 recipient is Mason King from the class of 2012.

Mason King exemplifies servant leadership through a life dedicated to faith, justice, and community transformation. He has consistently integrated spiritual conviction with professional excellence, living out the mission and values instilled during his time at LCA.

Mason pursued higher education at the University of Kentucky and the University of South Carolina, Aiken School of Business, where he distinguished himself academically and through service. His collegiate honors include serving as an Office of Public Diplomacy Intern with the United States Embassy, Education Abroad Peer Ambassador at the University of Kentucky, finalist for the Vandebosch Outstanding Senior in Political Science Award, and recipient of the Todd L. Daughtery Award for Outstanding and Unique Contributions to the Political Sciences.

Professionally, Mason serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Jubilee Jobs of Lexington, where his leadership has produced extraordinary, measurable impact. Under his direction, the organization has experienced a 400% increase in budget, staffing, and community reach. Jubilee Jobs now serves approximately 700 individuals annually, helping people overcome barriers, such as addiction recovery, limited education, transportation challenges, and re-entry after incarceration. His initiatives, including the Dream Center, the Second Chance Academy within the Fayette County Detention Center, and re-entry curriculum are now considered a gold standard. They restore dignity and opportunity to some of Central Kentucky’s most vulnerable populations.

Mason’s influence extends beyond Jubilee Jobs. He founded Innovate to Elevate, a youth programming initiative that secured a $500,000 Walton Family Foundation grant to equip disadvantaged youth and young men of color with skills for 21st-century employment. His collaborative work with foster care systems, public schools, juvenile facilities, and nonprofit leaders demonstrates his commitment to sustainable, community-wide change. He is also a graduate of Leadership Lexington.

Alongside his professional calling, Mason is deeply committed to ministry. He and his wife, Kelsey King, planted and currently pastor Meeting Place in Lexington. Together, they disciple believers, lead small groups, and guide mission trips to Colombia, India, South

Africa, and other countries to share the Gospel. Mason’s pastoral leadership is marked by humility, integrity, and a passion for spiritual formation.

Mason also volunteers extensively, having served on the board of Search.Love.Rescue., an organization supporting orphanages worldwide, and regularly partnering with the Lexington Rescue Mission. He additionally convenes a collaborative group of nonprofit executives to strengthen and support one another’s local missions.

Through compassionate leadership, advocacy for the marginalized, and unwavering faith, Mason King reflects the ministry of Christ in both word and action. His life and work embody the heart of Lexington Christian Academy’s mission, making him a distinguished representative of its alumni legacy and a deserving recipient of the 2026 LCA Christianos Distinguished Alumni Award.
