Alumni Spotlight Ben Philpot

LCA alum Ben Philpot (’20) recently graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in biomedical engineering and a certificate in distillation, wine and brewing science. He married his LCA sweetheart, Sarah Grace White, in June 2023. Ben works at his family’s business, PDS Office Equipment, alongside Sarah Grace, his parents, and his brother.

How many years did you attend LCA? 4 years

LCA is where: I formed relationships with students, teachers and staff while also growing closer to God.

What did you love most about your time at LCA? The way I was prepared for the next steps in life from a Christian worldview.

Tell us about one of your favorite memories at LCA. One of my favorite memories was our senior trip the week before the COVID pandemic. It was the last thing we got to do as a class, and I will always remember it.

Why do you believe it was important for you to attend LCA? LCA allowed me to grow spiritually and emotionally while being surrounded by amazing peers and mentors.
