Admissions Process - Lexington Christian Academy

Lexington Christian Academy is a covenant Christian School. At Lexington Christian Academy, we require at least one parent to be a professing Christian, active in a local church, and agreeing with our mission, "Core Values," and "Statement of Faith.

In keeping with LCA’s mission of “equipping and nurturing students to fulfill God’s calling on their lives through Christ-centered Education,” LCA considers the following:

Faith & Local Church

LCA seeks families who are growing in their personal Christian walk and actively involved in their local church. LCA requires that at least one parent be a Christian.

Academics

LCA seeks students whose academic records demonstrate proven capability to succeed in our program. Therefore, a student's records will be carefully evaluated prior to acceptance.

Behavior

LCA seeks students whose recommendations show a behavioral history that is in harmony with the behavioral expectations of LCA.

Eagle Experience

The Eagle Experience is an opportunity for prospective students in grades 6-11 to visit the school, attend classes, eat lunch, and attend a chapel service. Priority Consideration

Alumni, current families, and employees are eligible for priority consideration. In order to receive priority consideration, all applications must be submitted by October 31, 2025.

Step One: Let's Connect

Step Two: Application

Complete our online application and upload all needed information (current teacher recommendation, ministry recommendation, report cards from the past two years, and standardized test scores).

Applicants who have an IEP, 504, or other educational plan are asked to submit this documentation along with any evaluations. This will permit the Coordinator of Support Services and the applicable Principal to review the materials and determine whether LCA has the appropriate resources to support the student.

Step Three: Applicant Review & Academic Interview

All applicants undergo a thorough evaluation before proceeding to the academic interview.

If the criteria are not met, a decline letter will be sent, and the application closed.
If met, and further evaluation is necessary, an email with next steps will be sent requesting additional information.
If met, and no additional evaluation is needed, a family interview will be scheduled.

The interview assesses the student's interests and alignment with the school's mission, core values, and statement of faith.

Step Four: Notification of Admissions Decision & Enrollment

If the student meets the criteria set forth by the admissions committee, then the family will receive correspondence from the LCA Admissions office notifying them of acceptance.

To guarantee student placement, families should refer to the email notification of acceptance to enroll and register within the required amount of time. In order for your child to be officially enrolled, you will be asked to submit a "Statement of Agreement" and "Financial Contract" electronically as well as a non-refundable enrollment deposit. If the online enrollment is not completed within the required number of days, the student may be placed in the waiting pool.

Admissions Consideration - Siblings of LCA students are given priority consideration if the application is received by October 1st.
