6th Grade Academy

6th Grade Students Listen to a Teacher

FAITH SERVICE EXCELLENCE

Where faith and education nurtures students at a unique age

6th grade is a pivotal year in the educational journey of our students. Students have outgrown the elementary campus but are not quite ready for junior high. For that reason, we developed a self-contained learning environment where students can grow academically, socially, and spiritually in preparation for junior high and high school.

Lexington Christian Academy is a special place, where students are loved and nurtured. It has been a blessing to have my children attend school here, and to work here as a teacher. I am thankful God placed us at LCA, and I am thankful for the role it has played in my kids' education and spiritual growth.

Program Highlights

Anchoring God's word and his Truth to the hearts of students

The 6th Grade Academy is uniquely designed to engage students in the learning process. Students are empowered by teachers to grow and develop important life skills like critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity that prepares them for an ever-changing, highly adaptive world, where they can make a difference for God's kingdom.

Curriculum

The 6th grade curriculum reinforces the basics of the elementary program and prepares students for the rigors of junior high and high school. Its curriculum includes Bible, English, history, math, PE, science plus an “elective wheel” where students get to take a different elective course every six weeks.

Boy Presenting Project

Chapel

Students in 6th – 8th grades come together once a week for our chapel service. In our chapel service, the students are given the opportunity to connect with God through worship and messages that will challenge them to deepen their relationship with Him and reinforce their foundation of God’s truth. Parents are always welcome to come.
