About LCA

In June 1989, the vision of Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) became a reality. After months of discussion and prayers, The Academy and The Lexington Christian School merged.

The Academy served kindergarten-6th grade and The Lexington Christian School was a kindergarten-12th grade program. Both schools envisioned a pre-kindergarten-12th grade non-denominational, Christian school that would honor the Lord while providing the finest academic and extra-curricular programs. Both schools realized that by combining their efforts they would be able to serve more families in Central Kentucky seeking a Christ-centered education.

The founders of LCA recognized a true education provides curricular offerings to cultivate growth in the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical, and creative areas of life.

Since its inception, LCA has provided an educational experience which prepares students not only in the classroom, but on the playing field, and stage, in chapels and retreats, and through leadership programs and outreach programs. By focusing on students’ minds, hearts, and bodies, LCA produces scholars that impact the world for Jesus Christ.
