Welcome from our Head of School

Welcome to Lexington Christian Academy’s website. We are glad you are interested in learning more about our amazing school and trust you will easily find the information you seek. We know there are many educational choices available to parents today with a wide variety of emphases, from academics to co-curricular activities like athletics and arts. While we certainly excel in those areas, they are secondary to our primary mission to glorify Christ through educational ministry. That is our standard, and we actively seek students, parents and employees longing to be a part of this faith-based family.

As we begin our 30th year, we look back with gratitude for where God has brought us but eagerly look forward, believing that the best is yet to come. In 1989, the leadership of The Lexington Christian School and The Academy came together to form what would become one of the largest, independent Christian schools in America. With a strong sense of community and a clear direction as a covenant school, LCA quickly outgrew the space provided by seven local churches. Through the Lord’s providence and the financial sacrifices of many families, we transformed a former tobacco processing plant into the Rose Campus, which consists of 200,000 square feet of educational space and 75 acres, housing our High School, Junior High and the new 6th Grade Academy. Thanks to a great church partnership, all of our preschool and elementary kids are finally located together in one splendid environment at the Immanuel Campus.

Training children to become well-adjusted, responsible young adults is more challenging today than ever, and requires an integrated collaboration between the home, the church and the school. As King Solomon wrote, “a chord of three strands is not easily broken,” and that strength in unity lets our kids weather the storms of an increasingly hostile culture. We pray that those seeking Christ-centered instruction to meet their family educational needs will reach out to explore those possibilities with us.

Grace & Peace!

Our mission is to equip and nurture students to fulfill God’s calling on their lives through Christ-centered education.

Our vision is pursuing a world-class Christ-centered education.

True education must be built on, centered in and continually judged by Christ and the Scriptures.

The Bible must serve as the basis upon which every course and every activity in the school is evaluated. The school’s worldview—basic beliefs, assumptions, values, priorities, and biases - must be firmly established upon the principles of God’s Word.

Bible instruction is integrated with every aspect of the student’s educational experience.

In addition to attending daily Bible classes, LCA students encounter God’s truth. The Bible is the framework for character, attitude, and value development.

Parents are the first—and most important—teachers.

One of the principal needs of children is instruction. The Bible emphasizes the important role that parents play in providing that instruction. While others may teach, fathers and mothers have the prime responsibility. The partnership between the home and school establishes a strong foundation for the student’s success.

There is a commitment to excellence and innovation throughout our educational program offerings that maximally prepares our students for college and life.

LCA School System's curricular and instructional decisions are supported by research and reflective of best practices.

Students should have a wide range of educational opportunities available to them.

LCA believes that no student should have to take an academic penalty to receive a Christian education. As a result, LCA has made a long-term financial commitment to provide a full range of educational opportunities to its student body.
